For those who are new to the fiber experience or to the area and looking for all the local scoop on knitting, crochet, looming and spinning, there is an annual festival for all yarn crafters and is scheduled for this weekend!
DFW Fiber Fest is in its 7th year of being a premier fiber event in the North Texas community. Teachers and vendors from all over the region are in attendance providing classes, showcasing yarns and materials, and providing inspiration for your upcoming project. Fiber Fest is a non-profit organization where portions of their proceeds benefit local charities.
This is a weekend long craft-extravaganza that will be held for the 2nd year at the Grapevine Convention Center.
Several classes are currently full, however if interested, you can register and be placed on the waitlist. If you do not want to attend classes, you can visit the vendor hall separately. Entrance to the vendor hall is $2/day or $5/weekend. Hours are 9:00 - 6:00 Friday/Saturday and 9:00 - 4:00 Sunday.
Fiber Fest is an event that you do not want to miss! If you would like to carpool, please contact Jennifer Stover to coordinate (she is planning on attending Sunday afternoon, however other days and times can be scheduled.)
Hope to see you there!

The Weekly Stitch
Happy
Monday to all of you!
Here is what is going on with YOH this week:
Wow -
spring just keeps on getting better and better!! This has been an absolutely
gorgeous day that we have been blessed with! With the warmer weather, the need
for chemo caps (as well as all of the things we make for the children's
hospital) does not go away. Bald heads and sick ones still get cold, especially
once the air conditioning kicks on. We might start thinking about switching to
lighter weight and cotton yarns, but keep on cranking out the goodies - we
still need them!!

God bless
each of you and the works of your hands,
